Diese von der Graduate School of the Arts and Humanities am Walter Benjamin Kolleg organisierten Kurse zur Aneignung überfachlicher akademischer und berufsvorbereitender Kompetenzen stehen prioritär allen Doktorierenden der GSAH offen. Freie Plätze können je nach Anmeldeeingang an weitere Doktorierende, MA-Studierende, Postdocs und externe Interessierte vergeben werden.
Kursinhalt und Ziele
Research Data Management (RDM) is becoming increasingly important for researchers in the Humanities. Research funders like the SNSF, but also the general public make growing demands for transparency and accountability of research results. At the same time, RDM is an important contribution to the efficiency of every-day work for researchers and helps to address crucial issues with special data types like personal data. This course will introduce Humanities researchers to key areas of RDM and enable them to organize, manage, store and share and their data according to current best practices.Registered participants will be asked to fill out a short anonymous survey to adjust the lecture contents to the experience and knowledge level of the group / Participants are asked to bring their own laptop.
Ursula Loosli
(MA in German Studies, MAS in Archival, Library and Information Science) works as subject librarian for Digital Humanities at the University Library Bern since 2019 and additionally in the research data management department for the University Library Bern since 2021.
Gero Schreier
Gero Schreier holds a PhD in Medieval History, and a MAS BIW in Library and Information Sciences. He has been working in research data support at the Open Science Team at Bern University Library since 2019.
