Djouroukoro Diallo
Born in Bamako (Mali), Djouroukoro Diallo started his German Studies at the Es-sénia University of Oran in Algeria where he graduated with a German License. After some stays in Germany, he went back to Mali where he used to work as teacher and at the same in the International Cooperation such as for the U.S. Peace. Later he received a scholarship of the University of Berne where graduated a Master and Ph.D. (Dr. des.) in German Linguistics with specialisation in the linguistics of communication. His research focusses on Discourse Analysis, Text Analysis, Media Analysis, Political Linguistics, Intercultural Communication, German as Foreign Language (DaF), Contrastive Studies German/French/Bambara and African Studies. He works on concepts such as the representation of the image of the enemy, (social) constructivism or ethnicity in the Media Discourse. He currently works as lecturer for Linguistics, German Linguistics and German as Foreign Language, French and Bambara (Mande languages). He is married with Nadia Stillhart Diallo and proud father of Mariama Ida Diallo, and Aïda Massao Diallo. He is currently living with his family in Bern.
